Backend Software Engineer (PHP / Laravel) – Album Design Platform & CRM

About PicEra

PicEra is building a next-generation platform for professional photographers and creative studios. Our product combines CRM, Online Gallery, Album Design, Client Proofing, Media Management, and Print Workflow into one integrated system.

This is not a typical business website. You'll work on a large-scale SaaS application focused on handling thousands of images, secure file management, high-performance APIs, and scalable backend architecture.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer (PHP / Laravel) to build and maintain the backend architecture of our platform.

The backend will power:

1. CRM System
2. Online Gallery
3. Album Design Platform
4. Image Processing
5. Client Portal
6. File Management
7. Order & Workflow Management

The frontend application will communicate entirely through secure REST APIs developed by the backend team.

Required Skills

Backend

1. PHP 8+
2. Laravel Framework (Experience with Laravel 10/11 preferred)

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop scalable backend architecture using Laravel.
2. Build secure and well-documented REST APIs.
3. Develop CRM modules for clients, events, orders, and workflow management.
4. Build image upload and gallery management systems.
5. Implement image processing features such as thumbnails, previews, watermarking, and optimization.
6. Develop album project management and rendering APIs.
7. Integrate local storage and cloud storage solutions.
8. Optimize database queries and application performance.
9. Write clean, secure, maintainable, and well-documented code.
10. Collaborate closely with frontend developers throughout the development process.

Preferred Experience

Candidates having experience with any of the following will be preferred:

Qualifications

1. 1–3 years of professional PHP/Laravel development experience.
2. Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
3. Good knowledge of database design and API architecture.
4. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
